Content & Pedagogy:
Stanford's collection of stereo images, the Bassett collection stored on the Media Server, appealed to the teaching faculty and Northern Ontario.

Small group learning methods and topic-specific mini-lectures are critical components of their integrated problem-based learning curriculum.   Donna Newhouse selected images from the Bassett collection to support her teaching.

donnaEducational Technology:
NOSM has access to state-of-the-art 3D visualization facilities.  This enables students to see, study and interact with high quality anatomical data in 3D at both campuses simultaneously.

NOSM chose to use Remote Stereo Viewer, an interactive educational application developed by Steve Senger at the University of Wisconsin, LaCrosse.
