Teaching and Learning Evaluation

We evaluate the applications for usability and learning efficacy using a seven point evaluation framework (see figure below) that we developed as part of previous grant projects.

Our evaluation looks at two major outcomes from our events:

• Impact on the individual: We conduct one-on-one testing, case studies, and field trials to evaluate the usability and learning efficacy of the applications.

• Impact on the enterprise: Availability of the educational technology applications we use provides faculty with new teaching tools. The applications raise new issues in classroom management and teaching logistics. We evaluate these factors with faculty.
