Background Dr. Gladstone has training in Dermatology and Otolaryngology, as well as a fellowship in Medical Informatics. He is director of dermatologic surgery at Stanford Hospital. Research Interests Dr. Gladstone has conceived of and championed the teledermatology project. He initiated an early version of this project during his fellowship in medical informatics at the University of Washington, Seattle. Project Role Dr. Gladstone is the Medical lead for Remote Tactile Sensor (RTS) application. Dr. Gladstone defines the simulated clinical testing activities for teledermatology and conducts the actual tests. He also is performing the technical evaluation of the RTS hardware. He has worked with providers in remote areas of Alaska and Washington State and will define a remote user population for testing the RTS application. |
